About Us

The Ardnamurchan Estate is owned and managed as a family concern and the core of the estate is the working farm.

The history of the area is a long and occasionally bloody one.   Highland clans fought along these shores with one another and with Viking invaders and may of the local names celebrate this and have Viking influences.  Christianity, when it made the mainland of Scotland, landed here at Camus-na-Ghael where the warrior priest St Columba’s first set foot.

The highest peak in the centre of the Estate, Beinn Hiant means ‘The Sacred Mountain’ and visitors to the Estate can have the opportunity to visit these early settlements and absorb the spirit of the areas turbulent past.

Today the Estate seeks to manage the land with sustainability in mind, not only of our wildlife and magnificent scenery but also of our community and we are proud as a community to encourage visitors here to share our experiences, enjoy our environment and partake in our products.
