Venison Our venison is no exception it is produced 100% from wild free living deer roaming the Ardnamurchan estates and is carefully selected and handled to ensure a fully traceable quality product for your enjoyment.
The story To the discerning consumer the history of their food adds to the flavour and here at Ardnamurchan we take this link seriously, our deer are managed in such a way that the herds welfare is not compromised and the relationship between them and the land is beneficial to the estate's biodiversity secures local employment and it helps reducing food miles for local consumers.
An annual harvest is taken each year from our deer populations which are based on the lands ability to sustain them and the current environmental objectives in the forests and on the mountains of Ardnamurchan the selection of each animal to be removed is carried out by experienced stalkers. Thereafter, it is carefully handled and inspected to ensure only the very best is supplied to the customer and the remainder is consumed by Sea and Golden eagle making the whole process Eagle Friendly.
The Product Ardnamurchan venison is taken seasonally from Nature’s larder the grasses, herbs and heathers of the surrounding hills conspire to create a wonderfully flavoured natural product.
These selected products are available through the estate office and can be delivered at cost throughout the UK direct from the Highlands to your home.
